The owners of The Golden Rock Estate have successfully left the original buildings virtually untouched. The native flora and fauna add splashes of scent and color down every pathway. You feel as if you have stepped back in time.Golden Rock Estate built from lava stone between 1801 and 1815. You can almost hear the crushing of the sugarcane when you enter the old buildings and feel what it was like when sugar was King.

There is a castle-like feeling in the Long House where you find the bar and temporary dining room.

You may want to dive in and cool off afterwards in our 50 foot spring fed pool. It was once the main cistern in the 1800’s. If only these walls could talk while you enjoy after dinner drinks and coffee in the barrel vaulted Long House. Everyone gets involved in interesting conversations and making new friends. There are those who also take pleasure in stargazing, evening walks or a moonlight swim.
