Watching for the Vervet monkeys early in the morning or late in the afternoon is a must when you stay at Golden Rock.

Legend says the French monks brought them from West Africa as pets over 300 year ago.

The Inn has developed 2 self-guided Rainforest hikes for our guests. For the lighthearted traveler there is the 30 minute Nature Trail which gives botanical and medicinal lessons. The more adventurous traveler should try the 3 to 4 hour Rainforest Trail which is narrow in spots but breathtakingly beautiful. Many people enjoy telling us later about their challenges and adventures.

Nestled into the foothills of Mount Nevis, Golden Rock Estate's one hundred acres offer plenty of room to wander undisturbed, with historical remnants providing a revealing look into its past. Well-marked nature trails into the surrounding rainforest, begin and end at Golden Rock, meandering through silk cotton, mahoe and breadfruit grow in ravines, and along ridges with stands of mango and yellow prickle.
