          Welcome To Golden Rock Inn

Nevis was even more special than I imagined. If you like natural , tropical, mountainous , out of the way places; steeped in history, friendly people, and breathtaking vistas, then this cozy, romantic island is the place to visit. On cold winter days, this is a retreat my mind will wonder to, and I will want to go back."

Picture this...getting married in a shady cool gazebo set in a botanical garden and surrounded by carved stone walls. You feel as if you are perched on the edge of the rainforest when you look out and see the spectacular ocean view. It takes only 2 working days to do the paperwork. Let us arrange the flowers, photographer, music and dinner for your reception. But the best part is your honeymoon...explore 10 different beaches, try some of the water sports, horseback riding, snorkeling with a marine biologist, learn about herbal plants while hiking with the experts, and then be pampered with a relaxing massage in your own room.

Here are the requirements to plan a perfect wedding on Nevis:

  • 1Both parties must be in the country for 2 full working days (Monday-Friday) before the ceremony.
  • Both parties must have valid passports or birth certificates. If divorced, they must have a decree absolute, plus a notarized translation if the document is not in English.
  • If either party is widowed, that party must have a copy of the death certificate of the deceased.
  • If the ceremony is Roman Catholic, it must be held in a Roman Catholic church, and the 2 parties must have a letter from their home priest(s) verifying that they are unmarried and have received instruction.
  • If an Anglican or another minister is to conduct the ceremony, both parties must have a letter from their home minister(s) verifying that they are known and unmarried.
  • There will be charges from the notary public and the marriage officer; these vary from person to person.
  • The marriage license costs US$80. But if the parties have been residing on either St Kitts and Nevis for at least 15 days, it only costs $20. (What better reason to stay longer?)
